Starbucks Red Cup Day 2024: How to get your free holiday cup at Starbucks

Starbucks’ annual Red Cup Day is likely to take place on Thursday, Nov. 14, according to The Krazy Coupon Lady.
Starbucks has not yet confirmed the date, but on Nov. 7, Starbucks unveiled its 2024 winter menu. The menu includes a new holiday Refresher as well as many returning favorite drinks, such as the Peppermint Mocha.
The annual promotion usually falls on the third Thursday in November every year.
For one day only, order a fall or holiday beverage at a participating Starbucks store while supplies last.
In return, you will receive a free, 16-ounce reusable 2024 limited-edition red cup.
Customers can receive their free cup by placing an order at their local Starbucks, using the Starbucks app or ordering via delivery apps.
Here are the drinks that were eligible for the free red cup in 2023:
Customers will receive a 10-cent discount on future beverage purchases with the reusable cup.
Those who participate in Starbucks Rewards will also receive 25 bonus stars, if the red cup order is placed using the Starbucks app.
Starbucks first began its holiday cup promotion 26 years ago in 1997, but did not officially embrace the red cups until 1999.
Last year’s Red Cup Day took place on Thursday, Nov. 16.
In previous years, unionized Starbucks baristas have organized strikes on Red Cup Day to highlight staffing and scheduling issues during promotional events. However, the union has not yet announced plans for a strike this year.
